The senator from the great state of New York, Hillary Rodham-Clinton collapsed moments ago while giving a speech in Buffalo. This story is still developing, but I'm going to hold off from making jokes. It is never lady-like to kick a lady when she's down. Besides, the jokes all seem pretty easy at the moment. I'll give the woman a break.

However, news of her collapse was quickly followed by a giant sucking sound. The US Meteorological Survey was said to attribute the noise to millions of Democrats holding their breath all at once, for HRC is the poster girl of the DNC, their last, best, and only shot in 2008.

Regarding your Jan. 27 Post on holocaust and genocide, the best of the beat genocides took place in the past. The ancient Israelites took out many tribes in there conquest of ancient Judaea, both pre and post Exodus. The Dutch, under the guise of the East India Trading Company, took out the Banda Islanders to get Nutmeg and Mace in 1621. The number one genocide to date is, of course, the elimination of, by some estimates, 90 Million First Nations peoples in North and South America starting in 1492. The good news is that it is getting harder and harder to stage a 'complete' genocide now, many get away. Not so in the past. GER
