Window Lickers
This is a new term to me: Window Lickers. I find it expresses exactly what I want to say without running afoul of the politically correct rabble. I think we should all use it and not tell anyone what it means.

Silk either coined the term or brought it to my attention, but consider all the possibilities.

"Window Licker " could be a descriptive term for someone who covets something in the window, like a cupcake, a prada bag, or a puppy.

"Window Licker" could be someone who doesn't particularly like to fly, and so spends all of their time looking out the window.

"Window Licker", on the other hand, could just be someone visiting in a new place and soaking up all the sights.

Of course, it could also mean that someone is too stupid to figure out how to open the window.

I love it! It is the perfect term! Your job is to use it at least once today.

The term's been in use here for as long as I can remember, so certainly since the 70's.

It's one of the most un-PC phrases you'll hear and originally used to describe anyone with any degree of spasticity, mainly cerebral palsy.

When the buses that took them to school passed by, people would see them sitting with their heads banging against the windows, tongues hanging out, drooling and 'licking the windows'.

In some places it's been adapted to mean anyone of below average intelligence, but in Glasgow it's still commonly used as it was intended, as in "ya windae licker".

Offensive and beautifully un-PC. Love it!
