No Class
Even though Candidate Obama promised a new era of bipartisanship, should he emerge victorious, it seems President Obama doesn't feel the need for that.When Republicans voiced their concerns over the stimulus bill and, among other things, millions of dollars for rubbers, the President reminded them why he didn't have to listen to them.
"I won." He said.
"I won."
Wow. Had George W. Bush ever said something this dismissive, it would have been in the press for 10 days. Code Pink would have had a rally!
But, if The One shows this lack of grace we are to understand that the opposition will only be tolerated so long as they keep their mouths shut.
How long? How long before the hoi polloi realizes who they've elected?
Something else occurs to me as well: this guy is much less likable when he's speaking from the cuff. Dare I say it? He's a jerk.
