Meme Time
Another lovely meme! They are so good for useless posts. This one I picked up from El Capitan.

Do you remember your first favorite song? If so, what was it? It is difficult to remember that far back. But, I would guess that it was either Rhinestone Cowboy or The Most Beautiful Girl.

What do you refuse to eat? Raw meat is the big one every since I took Microbiology 101.

Have you ever injected any kind of drug before? Um, no. I'm not the kind of girl who takes unnecessary risks.

Do amusement park rides make you sick? No, but to be honest, I haven't been on an amusement park ride since 1988.

Who is your favorite Star Wars character? As a chick, I have to say Leia. She's the only female character a female my age can identify with. But, if you want to piss off a geek, answer this question "Jar-Jar."

What kind of cheese do you put on your sandwiches? I like baby swiss, but mostly it is cheddar or slices of American.

What was the first thing you ever learned how to cook? Kraft macaroni and cheese. And hot dogs.

Did you ever collect beanie babies? No, missed that boat.

When was the last time you got a haircut? A month ago.

Have you ever been to a bachelor/bachelorette party? Threw one. Total waste of time.

Where are you most ticklish on your body? Back of my knee.

Have you ever bailed anyone out of jail? Technically, no.

What's the last board game you played? Wow. I don't recall. It was probably Public Assistance.

Do you still own any VHS tapes? Yes. I really need to have a garage sale.

Do you shop at JC Penney's ever? Yes. I don't love it, but I do it.

If there was a real Jurassic Park, would you visit it? No. Those velociraptors scare the crap out of me! I'm also unlikely to jump out of a plane or swim with sharks.

Do you ever read the newspaper? No. C'mon! Newspapers are dead, man. The news is old before the paper is folded at the press.

Do you eat your mac & cheese with a fork or a spoon? Fork.

Is there any medicine/pill you take everyday? Yes. Thyroid med and vitamin.

How many 20 dollar bills do you have on you right now? None. Broke one this morning though.

Would you do meth if it was legalized? NO! For heaven's sake, who wrote these questions?

Do you think Obama will be assassinated? Actually, yes. But I believe it will happen on foreign soil and I believe an extremist Muslim will be the one to do it. I also believe it will be the act that reinvigorates the Left's anger over Terrorism.

Have you ever made out with someone and then never saw them again? Made out, no. But I kissed a guy and never saw him again.

Do you drink egg nog? Rarely. Like, once every 5 years or so.

What are you wearing? Slate trousers, blue v-neck sweater, diamonds.

A New Meme
Okay. I'm tired of the media being in the tank for Obama, tired of hearing how he's "The One", the second coming, the kit and the caboodle, and a burrito as big as your head.

Instead, I propose a new meme, all thought up and delivered by me. Here goes. All you have to do is consider the characters in the following tv shows, musicals, movies, etc. and identify which character is most like you.

1. Grease: Marty Maraschino
2. The Smufs: It's a toss-up between Handy Smurf and Azrael
3. Friends: Monica Geller
4. Oklahoma: Ado Annie
5. ER: Lucy Knight - the Kellie Martin character
6. Harry Potter: Hello! Hermione Granger
7. Charlie Brown: Marcie
8. Happy Days: Joanie
9. Cheers: Rebecca
10. The Incredibles: Elastigirl
11. A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum: Erronious

16. Charlie's Angels: Kelly Garrett
17. Dallas: Pamela
18. A-Team: Faceman
19. Designing Women: Allison Sugarbaker
20. Ally McBeal: Georgia
21. Charmed: Piper
22. NYPD Blue: Connie
23. Seinfeld: Elaine
24. Spin City: Stacey
25. Any Indiana Jones Movie: Willie Scott
26. Any Star Wars Movie: Yoda
27. Alice in Wonderland: White Rabbit

40. And by the way: despite all rumors to the contrary, I am not the real life embodiment of Cruella de Ville (but I do think she has a snappy theme song).

Movie Meme
Bumped to the top, scroll down for new posts.

Got this one from El Capitan.

Here's the how-to:

1. Look up 15 of your favorite movies on IMDB.
2. Post a quote from each movie for your readership to identify.
3. As readers correctly identify the quotes’ origins in the comments, strike out the quotes and name the commenter who answered correctly.
4. If the commenter also identifies the name of the speaker (the character or the actor), he or she gets bonus points in the form of a link to his or her site. Simple enough?

Got it? Good. Let's do this thing.

1. Honest to goodness it's the absolute ultimate!

Update: SpySistah correctly identified this line as being
spoken by Sandra Dee as Gidget in Gidget.

2. Great balls of fire. Don't bother me anymore, and don't call me sugar.

Update: Anonymous correctly identified this line from Gone With the Wind. Scarlett said it.

3. I don't open beer bottles with my toes, I don't sit around and count what's left of my teeth, hey, I don't even enjoy a good tractor pull.

Update: Amelie correctly identified this line from the Cutting Edge as being spoken by Kate Mosely (Moira Kelly's character).

4. Frankly, I'd rather have a job wiping Saddam Hussein's arse.

Update: Amelie correctly identified this line from Bridget Jones' Diary as being spoken by Bridget (Renee Zellweger).

5. I am no longer astonished at you knowing only *six* accomplished women, Mr Darcy, I rather wonder at your knowing *any*.

Update: El Capitan correctly guessed that this was said by Miss Elizabeth Bennett in Pride and Prejudice.

6. Flack had ingenuity and the contacts, Kim; That's better than bullets sometimes.

Update: Amelie is on a roll! She correctly identifies this line as being from Cloak & Dagger. Morris said it to Kim.

7. Chuy, hi. I'm Luke Skywalker.

Update: Two Half-points on this one for El Capitan who said "Darnit.... It was that guy from 'Friends' who was in 'The Whole Nine Yards', and he said it to this guy playing Salma Hayek's brother in that film called... called... I give up..." It was Matthew Perry's character Alex in the movie Fools Rush In. However, he actually said it to the character who played her ex-boyfriend.

8. Albuquerque. See I can do it too. Snorkel.

Update: Amelie nails it again! This one is Riley
Poole in National Treasure, spoken to one of the henchmen.

9. Waiter, will you serve the nuts? I mean, will you serve the guests the nuts?

Update: El Capitan correctly guessed that this was Myrna Loy as Nora Charles in The Thin Man.

10. More's the pity. Then your tailors will rule the land, and no one will make the clothes. So much for French fashion, and French politics.

Update: Amelie gets another one! This line is from The Scarlet Pimpernel, spoken by Sir Percy Blakeney.

11. I've hired you to help me start a war. It's a prestigious line of work, with a long and glorious tradition.

Update: El Capitan also correctly guessed this as being a line belonging to Wallace Shawn as Vizzini in The Princess Bride.

12. I'm setting booty traps.

Update: SpySistah correctly identified this as a line spoken by the character "Data" in Goonies.
13. Oh, yeah. Christian Demure. I've got tons of his stuff.

Update: SpySistah gets two half-points for identifying this as "John Travolta's wife in...ooh, this is killing me....that movie with C.Thomas Howell and the anonymous letters!" She is correct, Travolta's real life wife Kelly Preston spoke the line as Deborah Anne Fimple in Secret
Admirer.

14. Madame, if you continue masturbating my driver, you are going to be a murderer.

Update: SpySistah correctly identified this line as being from the movie My Chauffeur. She didn't guess it, but it was spoken by the character McBride - played by Howard Hesseman.

15. We were gonna fight our way through enemy territory. Scale the highest mountain in this goddamned place. Traverse a bridge that was about to collapse. And then if we were lucky, I mean really lucky, we were gonna fight our way through two thousand extremely poisonous snakes.

Have at it! No cheating now...

This just leaves #15. Come on! It is one of my favorite movies!

I've Come to Realize...
Hurray! Another meme! This one came from the swashbuckling El Capitan of the Baboon Pirates. A shipful of nautical primates...sounds...messy. Anyway, on with the show:

The "I've Come to Realize" Meme:

1. I have come to realize that my butt: is like a black hole. It only expands - no matter how much I work out. The best I can hope for is a pair of jeans that make it look smaller. Like wallpapering the Grand Canyon, but whatever...

2. I have come to realize that when I talk: I am very emphatic and passionate, sometimes to my detriment.

3. I have come to realize that if I love someone: I am able to forgive a great many things, that I find personal calm in that relationship, and that it is a valuable jewel that I treasure.

4. I have come to realize that I need: more sleep than I really get, and a multitude of projects to occupy my busy brain. Or I'm not really happy.

5. I have come to realize that I lost: my mind and my memory the moment I became a mother.

6. I have come to realize that I hate it when: the phone rings.

7. I have come to realize that if I'm drunk: I make inappropriate observations and compliments such as "you have such a cute little nose!" Seriously. Where does that come from?

8. I have come to realize that marriage: is a sublime state for me - my natural element. Some people are natural atheletes, I'm a natural wife. I enjoy the unspoken conversations, the reading of each other's minds, and the joy we find in each other and our child. Of course, this doesn't mean that I take it for granted that I'm married to a Prince or that I slack off. I appreciate him and our life together behind measure.

9. I have come to realize that work: makes me happy and it fulfills in me that need to accomplish something. I am aware of my workaholic tendencies, but prefer to see them as the by-product of a perfectionist state of being. I am never satisfied with my own performance.

10. I have come to realize that I will always be: a bitch. Frankly, I am far too opinionated to not rub a lot of people the wrong way. Screw 'em. I am who I am.

11. I have come to realize that I like: soft things. Baby feet, cashmere, silk, kittens...

12. I have come to realize that the last time I cried was: stress related and usually a signal that I need more sleep and more time with Bunny Boop. I worry that I'm not a good mommy.

13. I have come to realize that my cell phone is: something I'd really rather live without. But then, when would I find the time to talk to Christina?

14. I have come to realize that when I wake up in the morning: I am an ugly beast. Nobody wants to see that. Hair like the Bride of Frankenstein, breath that would kill a dragon, and crusty eyes...not pretty. Not pretty at all...

15. I have come to realize that before I go to sleep at night: I like to peek in on Bunny and kiss Prince Charming, even though they are both asleep. Knowing they are quiet gives me peace.

16. I have come to realize that right now I am thinking about: lunch, lunch time errands, and a bajillion other things like upcoming birthdays and such.

17. I have come to realize that babies: really are miracles and that I'd like another one. A child makes you see the best in the world and in yourself. I look at a baby and I feel...soft and warm.

18. I have come to realize that today I will: be going home early due to the weather.

19. I have come to realize that tonight I will: be working on another project, right after I work out and make supper and feed and bathe the child.

20. I have come to realize that tomorrow I will: do it all over again.

21. I have come to realize that I really want to: have another baby and get my MBA.

22. I have come to realize that working out: is a necessary evil and is acceptable if I consider it "Me Time."

23. I have come to realize that friends: are the grease that makes life livable. They are the release valve. I have some excellent friends and I am thankful for the role they play in keeping me sane.

24. I have come to realize that, the person who might repost this is: forget it, I am clueless.

Rock Band Meme
Imagine you are a rock star, touring the world with your own band, groupies neck deep...

Now, you have some decisions to make. Like...the name of your band, the name of your album, and the cover art for said album. Lucky for you there is this meme to answer this deep questions for you.

Follow these directions to the letter. It’s fun and requires no thought at all. Go to:

1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:RandomThe first article title on the page is the name of your band.

2. http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3The last four words of the very last quote is the title of your album.

3. http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4. Use your graphics program of choice to throw them together, and post the result in your own journal/blog because it’s more amusing that way.

Note how 70's is our cover art...

Privilege Meme
The gist behind this meme appears to be some sort of inquiry into privilege. It requires me to point out the original source based on copyright - that is below. The items that apply to me have been bolded.

Legal Crappola:
Premise: bold each of the statements that applies.
Original source: The list is based on an exercise developed by Will Barratt, Meagan Cahill, Angie Carlen, Minnette Huck, Drew Lurker, Stacy Ploskonka at Illinois State University. The exercise developers ask that if you participate in this blog game, you acknowledge their copyright.

Father went to college
Father finished college
Mother went to college
Mother finished college
Have any relative who is an attorney, physician, or professor - I have a cousin who is a professor.
Were the same or higher class than your high school teachers
Had more than 50 books in your childhood home - a whole family of book lovers, book hoarders, even.
Had more than 500 books in your childhood home
Were read children's books by a parent - this is the best way to read a story - out loud.
Had lessons of any kind before you turned 18 - ballet
Had more than two kinds of lessons before you turned 18 - and tap, violin, baton, cheerleading...
The people in the media who dress and talk like me are portrayed positively - I don't see a lot of people like me on tv, with the possible exception of the ladies on Cashmere Mafia, and they are only similar.
Had a credit card with your name on it before you turned 18 - I had a checking account at the age of 12, I think, could have been 14, and it was a great way to learn about money. I had a credit card when I was 17, I think, and 2 at 18.
Your parents (or a trust) paid for the majority of your college costs - My education was paid for in part by a sort of trust and also in part by my hard work. I worked on the family farm every summer from the time I was 5 (making beds) until I was done with college.
Your parents (or a trust) paid for all of your college costs - I'm going to count this one because although I worked for it, I did graduate without any debt (no school loans, etc)
Went to a private high school - Oh, please! I'm a public school kid.
Went to summer camp - not even close, unless there is a camp called "Wheat Harvest - Truck Driving and Tractor Work for Fun"
Had a private tutor before you turned 18 (I never needed a steenking tutor, though I did volunteer as a tutor for the football team in college.)
Family vacations involved staying at hotels - my mom usually went on vacation without us. As a child of divorce, my vacations were usually spent with my dad on the farm. Though I did travel to Germany, Hawaii, Cancun, and Peurto Vallarta with my family on vacation
Your clothing was all bought new before you turned 18 - I had plenty of hand-me-downs
Your parents bought you a car that was not a hand-me-down from them - Wrong - I bought my first car - but my mom bought the second one...
There was original art in your house when you were a child
Had a phone in your room before you turned 18 - To preserve my step-father's sanity...
You and your family lived in a single family house
Your parent(s) owned their own house or apartment before you left home
You had your own room as a child
Participated in an SAT/ACT prep course - I didn't take a course, but I did take the PSAT...
Had your own TV in your room in High School
Owned a mutual fund or IRA in High School or College
Flew anywhere on a commercial airline before you turned 16 - 16? 16? My dad had his pilot's license - I was flying when I was in diapers and flying as an unaccompanied minor (with the little SpySistah) at the age of 8 at least.
Went on a cruise with your family
Went on more than one cruise with your family
Your parents took you to museums and art galleries as you grew up - Lot of museums...
You were unaware of how much heating bills were for your family

There you go. From looking at that I probably qualify as a spoiled brat...

Bookish? Me?
CTG tagged me with a book meme...so here goes:

What are you reading right now? Currently I am slowly re-reading HP7 so as to absorb every lovely word.

What magazines do you have in your bathroom right now? None. I'm not big on magazines, actually.

What's the worst thing you were ever forced to read? How about a top 10 list? The very worst has to be The Grapes of Wrath - an entire chapter devoted to a turtle crossing the road? Gimme a break! But, I also hated Lord of the Flies.

What's the one book you always recommend to just about everyone? Harry Potter.

Admit it, the librarians at your library know you on a first name basis, don't they? No, actually. I am a book buyer and a book hoarder. I don't like to share or lend books either.

Is there a book you absolutely love, but for some reason, people never think it sounds interesting, or maybe they read it and don't like it at all? There is a book that I tell people to read when they go all liberal anti-gun on me. That is John Ross's Unintended Consequences. If you haven't read it, you should. It starts slow, but picks up fast, and you will not be sorry you read it. If you can get through the first 100 pages or so, you are going to love this book. That reminds me that my husband's copy is still on loan. Oh- by the way - you may have to go to a gun show or do a serious online search to find it. For some reason there is a sort of...publishing taboo... or embargo on the book.

Do you read books while you eat? While you bathe? While you watch movies or TV? While you listen to music? While you're on the computer? While you're having sex? While you're driving? 1. Yes - breakfast. 2. only rarely - when I'm taking a bubble bath. 3. Nope. 4. Nope. 5. Nope. 6. Are you kidding? 7. Nope.

When you were little, did other children tease you about your reading habits? I don't think so...

What's the last thing you stayed up half the night reading because it was so good you couldn't put it down? HP7

What book have you stayed up all night NOT reading (because it disturbed you in some way)? I don't read books like that.

Has a book ever entered your dreams? Yes! Harry Potter, of course. But also, the Stephanie Plum novels.

What book/ series would you like to write an ending too? Or rewrite? I'm not strictly talking about fanfic, just this: given the opportunity, which stories would you like to work on? I'd like to try my hand at adapting a HP book to a screenplay, does that count?

Best book to movie transition? And as a corollary, what books should NEVER be a movie? Not quite sure how to answer this one. The first HP was a seamless transition, it was so true to the text. I can't think of anything immediately that shouldn't be a movie unless it is Animal Farm.

Do you prefer one-off novels or character-driven series books? What's your favorite book series? I have been reading a lot of character-driven stuff lately. Favorites? Too hard! I like:
the Blackbird Sister novels by Nancy Martin
the Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evanovich
the Bubbles novels by Sarah Strohmeyer
the Goldie Schulz Caterer novels by Diane Mott Davidson
the Debutant Dropout stories by Susan McBride
the wedding planner mysteries by Deborah Donnelly
the Crime of Fashion mysteries by Ellen Byerrum

Which book character do you see yourself as most like? How about when you were a kid? When I was a kid I thought I'd grow up to be Nancy Drew. Now that I'm an adult, I see my childhood as being like Hermione Granger. I haven't seen a contemporary character a lot like me.

Ever NOT want to finish a book because you were desperately afraid that the author was going to take it somewhere you didn't like? Ever fling a book at the wall because that happened? I came pretty close on HP7.

Movie Meme
Picked this one up from CTG.

In this little exercise, I'm supposed to choose 10 favorite movies, look them up in IMDB, and post the 5 plot key words so that you can try to guess which movies they are. Here goes nothing.

1. Limo / Chauffeur / Rich Girl / Independent Film

2. Girl Next Door / Love Letter / Independent Film

3. Novel / Costume Party / Character Name in Title / Title Spoken by Character / Independent Film

4. Male Female Relationship / England / Britain / Adultery / Book Publishing

5. Arranged Marriage / Loss of Loved One / Cliff / Storyteller / Old Man

6. Britain / Woman / Romance / Estate / 19th Century

7. Broadway Musical / Freedom / Slavery / Kukri Dagger / Ancient Rome

8. Bad Girl / Chorus Girl / Femme Fatale / Stylized / Scandal

9. Disbelieving Adult / Kidnapping / Chase / Hitman / Spy

10. Switchblade / Child Driving Car / Author / Brother / Military Official

I wouldn't say that they are my absolute favorites, but they rank up there.

Put your guesses in the comments.

Update: Christina thinks this is too hard and has modified the rules. To play along, I have done the same. The following list is of the same 10 movies. However, this time the clues are either names of characters or actors. Have at it!

1. Deborah, Battle, Howard, Witherspoon, Bone

2. Toni, Deborah Ann, C. Thomas, Lou, Roger

3. Jake, Desmond, Karen, Sid, Rodrigo

4. Renee, Gemma, Perpetua, Mark, Daniel

5. Buttercup, Cary, Max, Andre, Inigo

6. Colin, Elizabeth, Crispin, Lydia, Lady Catherine

7. Zero, Marcus, Hero, Buster, Miles

8. Taye, Velma, Fred, Amos, Christine

9. Davey, Dabney, Kim, Jack, Eunice

10. Jack, Joan, Danny, Ira, Zolo

Come on! That's easy.

A Christmas Meme
We haven't done a meme in a long long time. I thought this one might improve the mood around here. Picked it up from CalTechGirl (thank you, dear). Feel free to steal it and run away with it.

1. Egg nog or hot chocolate? Hmm. I prefer wassail, but will take high quality Ghirardelli Hot Chocolate on occasion. A Swiss Miss girl I am not.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Well, that depends on the gift. If it is Barbie's very own RV, that is not wrapped. If it is 1 karat total weight diamond stud earrings, those are wrapped. Sleds are not wrapped, dollies are. See what I mean?

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? Ok. Call me a commie if you like, but I only like white lights. Our tree has three strands of white lights on it in fact. We actually don't put Christmas lights outside. There are three reasons for this: a) I don't want my husband getting injured in the name of holiday decorations, b) it is a ridiculous waste of power and money that is better spent keeping people warm and as presents under the tree, and c) our child is too young to appreciate it.

4. Do you hang mistletoe? No, but I do have a kissing ball, but that is hanging every day of the year.

5. When do you put your decorations up? As soon as possible after Thanksgiving. However, this is largely dependent on our travel schedule. This year stuff didn't go up until last weekend.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? I have 3 favorites: Grandma Vella's turkey leftovers, Mom's Sweet Potatoes, and the Cornbread Corn Casserole.

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child: The year I got $100, a calculator, and a shopping basket and got to have my own shopping spree. I think I was 6-years-old. You wouldn't believe how far that money went. I bought a toilet that flushed for my Barbie. Crazy! Of course, the years I have gotten jewelry all rank pretty high too. And the year Barbie got her RV, of course.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? What "truth" do you speak of? Santa is alive and well and I know it. There is no mass conspiracy, only bitter people who end up on the "Naughty" side of the list and are running a counter campaign. Santa may enjoy the company of little people, spend too much time playing with animals and toys, and enjoy having children in his lap, but he is still very much a benevolent

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? We open all family gifts on Christmas Eve. Christmas morning is reserved for Santa's gifts.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? White lights. Pink silk roses, white silk flowers, pink and gold ribbon, pearls, silver ornaments.

11. Snow! Love it or dread it? If I get to stay inside, I love it. Otherwise, winter in Wisconsin sucks.

12. Can you ice skate? Not even in my wildest dreams. But I love the movie The Cutting Edge.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Oh! Too hard! Nah, I take that back. My favorite gift was Bunny Boop.

14. What's the most important thing about the holidays for you? Spending time with my husband and child, making memories and starting our own traditions.

15. What is your favorite holiday dessert? This is impossible, so I'll simply say my Chocolate Cream Pie.

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Opening gifts on Christmas Eve, then racing down the stairs to see what Santa brought on Christmas morning. But, I am looking to start a whole bunch of new traditions now that we have Bunny.

17. What tops your tree? White Satin Bow.

18. Which do you prefer, giving or receiving? It is all about the giving. I love coming up with the perfect gift for each person.

19. What is your favorite Christmas song? A tie: Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree and Two-Step 'Round the Christmas Tree.

20. Candy canes: ICK.

21. Favorite Christmas movie? Christmas in Connecticut, It's a Wonderful Life, How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

22. What do you leave for Santa? A wicked suggestion to meet me in bed. Oh! You mean on the plate. We've never done this before, but this year I was thinking about leaving him a ribeye steak, some potatos, and a Korbel and Coke. (It is a long night and Santa needs to keep his strength up!)

Phoenix Meme Time
It has been a long, long while since we've featured a meme here at Villains Vanquished, and I'm of a mind to do just that. I found this one at Chasing Vincenzo.

1. Flip to page 18, paragraph 4 - in the book closest to you right now, what does it say? Umm. I don't have the book with me, but I'm rereading The Baker's Boy by J.V. Jones. With any luck, the fourth paragraph of page 18 features some lovely discourse between Grift and Bodger.

2. If you stretch out your left arm as far as possible, what are you touching? Nothing. The peninsula on my desk is to the right, there is nothing on my left for 5 feet and my arms aren't that long.

3. What's the last program you watched on TV? It was an episode of NCIS on DVD that I fell asleep to last night.

4. Without looking, guess what time it is. I'm going to go with 2:35 pm.

5. Aside from the computer, what can you hear right now? Voice recording, clackety-clack of keyboards, clickety-click of mouse, printer, wind rustling the few remaining leaves on the trees outside.

6. When was the last time you were outside and what did you do? 30 minutes ago I went to get some lunch - a chicken salad sandwich - and I drove the entire way there and back with the windows down. It is a beautiful day.

7. What are you wearing? Coco by Chanel, Diamonds, my Illinois Baseball jersey, and...K-Swiss tennis shoes (among other things).

8. Did you dream last night? If you did, what about? Yes. I dreamt that I was engaged to marry my second husband - Prince Charming had been murdered. I was getting ready to marry Colin Firth - who had just dumped Kelly Ripa for me - but was having some difficulty adjusting to the idea of living in Beverly Hills. Colin decided to buy me a house in Tahoe instead. Before I was ready to move the kids, however, I went to Chicago Art Museum. Outside, in front of the big Lion statues, some sniper was taking shots at the crowd. I recognized the shooter - it was an ex-boyfriend and it freaked me out. I woke up to the sound of my baby crying. It was a nightmare! For some reason, I believed that I was the target and that it might have been connected to Prince Charming's murder. I told the Chicago PD to check the ballistics against the ongoing investigation at home.

9. When was the last time you laughed? Yesterday. It was a gigglefest with Bunny. For some reason, bouncing a ball is hysterically funny every single time it happens.

10. What's on the walls, in the room you're in right now? Cow pictures by Woody Jackson, big window through which greater downtown can be viewed, and sound-absorbent panels.

11. Have you seen anything strange lately? I saw some really weird baby poo this morning, but I doubt you want to read about that.

12. What do you think about this meme? Tastes Great, Less Filling!

13. What's the last film you saw? I watched Selena yesterday on VH-1. I have a baby. I haven't been to the theater in an ice age.

14. If you became a multimillionaire, what would you do with the money? Oh, this is a fun one. First, I'd pay off the house. Second, I'd buy some Kansas farmland. Third, I'd get started building the resort Prince Charming and I have discussed. Then, I'd quit my job and raise our children while I wrote novels from my home office.

15. Tell us something about yourself that most people don't know. I used to have a crush on Ricky Shroeder. Which, in retrospect, goes a long way toward explaining my high school boyfriend.

16. If you could change ONE THING in this world, without regarding politics or bad guilt, what would it be? I would abolish ebonics. It is something that makes people sound ignorant and detracts from communication. People are judged, for better or worse, on how well they can communicate and this holds people back from their full potential. But then, I'd also get rid of text messaging and instant messaging because they are lazy modes of communication that can be misconstrued too easily, what with all the stupid abbreviations.

17. Do you like dancing? I love dancing - in my dressing gown and underwear, in the arms of my Prince, or even in a honky tonk.

18. George Bush? Let's see. I think the first one was a serious pussy who sold out the American gun owner. The second one is a much better leader, even if he is sometimes a bit too born again for my tastes.

19. What do you want your children's names to be, girl/boy? My daughter is named already. We have never been able to agree on a boy's name. I like Lawson, Prince Charming wants Harold. If we have another girl, her name will likely be Ainsley.

20. Would you ever consider living abroad? I've traveled enough to know that there's no place like home. So, in general, I'd have to refuse. The only country I'd consider living in would be Australia. But I'd still rather be here.

21. What do you want God to tell you, when you come to heaven? "You did all that you could. We have a special library for you right over there."

22. Who should do this meme? The Stepstool.
